This feature leverages modern AI capabilities to transform text and image obituary content into shareable videos, helping families amplify their loved one's memorial across multiple (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X) directly after purchasing an obituary. All videos are automatically optimized for platform-specific size requirements across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and more.

Hyperlocalized Video Generation API:

The Legacy.com Hyperlocalized Video Generation API endpoint dynamically generates new horizontal long-form videos from Legacy.com's obituary data that gets refreshed on a weekly basis and can be scaled up to 10k local communities. The software programmatically takes text and photo data and generates video content using 11Labs voiceovers, and adds music to create emotionally resonant video tributes. A video that takes over 1 hour to produce now takes under 30 seconds through a simple API call. The technical implementation is remarkably elegant. The system uses advanced ffmpeg processing to handle complex video operations, including proper subtitle placement with ASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha) for precision control.
